Engineering vessel is usually to adopt deck installation type azimuth thruster. Deck installation is put the thruster and drive motor into an integraty propulsion series. The advantage of such way is more reliable and with compact structure. The power of the diesel engine is transmitted to the rudder propeller through the elastic coupling, hydraulic clutch and universal shaft.The hydraulic system, electric control box,fuel tank and so on the system units are mounted on the chasis. Installation is fast and simple because the propulsion series is complete.Customer only need to connect some hoses and cables can make it available. The desk installation unit is mounted and bolted onto a foundation of deck. Rudder propeller is mounted at the rear of chasis.

The rudder propeller can be raised or lowered in vertical direction by the mechanically or hydraulically depth adjustment facility. It’s also offering maximum propulsive force for vessel which is with different draught.

For maintenance purposes, the rudder propeller can be pivoted out of the water by the hydraulically or mechanically depth adjustment facility.
